Emphasising that the government stands with students at all times to ensure they study well and progress, Dr Yadav said that the state government is committed to providing all facilities to students promptly.

The CM stated that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, new initiatives are being taken in the education system, and ‘Sandipani’ schools are being established in the state.

“Madhya Pradesh has some of the best government schools in the country,” the CM said.

He informed that last month the state government reimbursed the fees of 850,000 students studying in private schools under the Right to Education Act, adding that 20 percent of seats in private schools in the state are given to students from underprivileged families.

Dr Yadav said that 369 Sandipani schools and 55 PM Excellence Colleges are being established in the state. He added that the School Education Department has distributed free bicycles to 10 million students of Classes VI and IX who live within a 4-kilometre radius of their schools, and laptops have been given to 500,000 students who scored more than 75 percent in board exams.

He added that a plan has been worked out to provide free coaching to students preparing for NEET, CLAT, and JEE.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav encouraged students to aspire to become doctors, engineers, and lawyers, as well as entrepreneurs and employers. He stressed that for active participation in the democratic system, students should also be active in public life.
